This email will serve as an update on the status and repair of your systems sent in.

Currently I have listed the following machines sent in for repair by you:

HP DV4-1220US with the serialization of CND9042Z86

As agreed your system is billed at $125.00 per system.

Now, with the HP DV4-1220US with the serialization of CND9042Z86 has been reflowed. The system board was labeled HP SPS 511858-001. The system reflowed on both the AMD Radeon IGP 0840 chipset.

After the reflow of the chipset, we noticed your system was not working correctly. We ran our diagnostics software on the system and found it came back with the following error. Your processor was found to be failed and damaged. The processor was exchanged, and found the new processor caused the system to display a repaired system.

Please keep in mind you need to reapply thermal compound such as Artic Silver 5. You also need to update the video drivers from Nvidia.com and the BIOS from HP if one is to be applied. Please advise your end user to purchase a cooling pad to help insure the removal of heat from the system.

Apple iMac G5 ALS Ambient Light with the serialization of W8410RKWRW

Now, with the Apple iMac G5 ALS Ambient Light with the serialization of W8410RKWRW has been evaluated, repaired, and is ready for return. The system is labeled A1076-M9845LL-White-ALS, 661-3613, and 820-1747. The system required a reflow on the ATI Radeon, Intel SL8YB, and Intel SL8Z2 chipsets.

No power adapter was found within the box. The system alone was received.

A hard drive was found within your system, but in this case, you will need to follow the directions below to finalize a successful repair.

You also need to update the video drivers from Intel.com, ATI.com, or Nvidia.com and the BIOS from HP or Dell if one is to be applied once the system is repaired. Please advise your end user to purchase a cooling pad to help insure the removal of heat from the system.

Currently I have listed the following machines sent in for repair by you:

HP DV7-1130US with the serialization of CND84038L6

Now, with the HP DV7-1130US with the serialization of CND84038L6 has been repaired and is ready for return. The system is labeled HP Spare 486541-001. The system required a reflow on the ATI Radeon RX781 chipset. The system also displayed damaged memory in both sticks of Samsung DDR2 2GB. After replacing this RAM with a shop supplied 1GB RAM stick for testing your system displayed a booting system. The paperwork requested a virus cleaning, but the system displayed a Windows password. The password was removed to begin a virus cleaning which displayed a number of virus, malware, and Trojans within the system.

No power adapter was found within the box. Your paperwork also stated no adapter was shipped.

You also need to update the video drivers from Nvidia.com and the BIOS from HP if one is to be applied. Please advise your end user to purchase a cooling pad to help insure the removal of heat from the system.

Your system was shipped with a prepaid Fedex label for return shipping. Since that shipping label is to be used, you will need to mail and check or money order in the below amount to finalize the transaction, and post your system at completely paid off. The services requested were a reflow in the amount of $125.00 and a virus scanning in the amount of $50.00. Since your system required extra diagnostics, the memory is billed at $65.00 per 2GB RAM stick up to 4GB as previously located within your system. Also the virus cleaning was requested, but no password was supplied so the password removal is billed at $50.00 also. Your total check should be for the amount of $355.00. You have 30 days to make this payment from the time this email is sent. Payment can be delivered to our new office at the above address.

Gateway MX6435 with the serialization of T006A31006605

As agreed your repair is billed at $50.00 for the system software.

Now, with the Gateway MX6435 with the serialization of T006A31006605 has been repaired and is ready for return.

Your system displayed a damaged installation of Microsoft Media Center Edition 2005.

Upon further work, your system was found to have a damaged hard drive. The hard drive is labeled Hitachi HGS-SRB16J9AT0 with a model number HTS54161J9AT00. This hard drive is a 160GB 5400RPM IDE 2.5 inch component. The serial number is SJGAVW8D. The part number is 0A50682. The SPS number is 2MA3HDA004.

The above mention drive was replaced with the following drive. The hard drive is labeled Toshiba HDD2188 with a model number MK8025GAS. This hard drive is a 80GB 5400RPM IDE 2.5 inch component. The serial number is 24NA4237S. The SPS number is 655-1113A.

Your system also required a reinstallation of Microsoft Windows XP Media Center 2005. All drivers were reloaded from Gateway. All updates were updated from AutoPatcher which was dated from 02/2010. The remainder of the drivers was updated from Microsoft Updates on 09/04/2010. Windows XP Service Pack 3 was installed you’re your system. Microsoft Essentials was installed and updated as of 09/04/2010. Malwarebyte’s AntiMalware was also installed and updated as of 09/04/2010.
