New Day, New Shop, New Location

June 13, 2011 by DoubleClickItToFixIt.com Leave a Comment

After a much anticipated wait we have moved into a new shop. We are up and running at full speed, and have replaced a number of our systems and machines to new updated computer controlled Dark-IR systems along with Hakko soldering equipment and Fluke testing equipment which was salvaged from the damaged store.

We are accepting drop offs by appointment for the first few weeks, but accept shipments in at any time.

Posted below are the pictures of our new shop and work area plus Ginger, our office secretary, door greeter, and guard dog.

Updates for my clients as of May the 3rd

May 4, 2011 by DoubleClickItToFixIt.com Leave a Comment

Currently our facility has been deemed structurally unsound.  This means we are not able to retrieve any property from that facility without the building inspector granting us permission to enter.  FEMA has currently declared our offices  damaged beyond repair and we are working with them to help expedite claims for our shop also.  Our lawyers are in negotiations with our local township to fulfill request to obtain personal property and get our insurance claims processed in a uniform fashion.

For us to file insurance claims, we need our clients whom have systems in the shop to resubmit paperwork electronically to james@doubleclickittofixit.com so we can process all claims.  We currently have cellphone access, but internet access has not been restored.  We currently are checking our emails off site and out of the North Georgia area once a day.

For our future and other clients, we are in negotiations to get a new office located in our city.  This negotiation has not been complete but should be complete in the next week or two.

Our plan is to rebuild and we are in the process of just that.

An update for all my clients whom have asked for updates since April the 27th

April 28, 2011 by DoubleClickItToFixIt.com Leave a Comment

As an update for all my clients:

A series of tornados touched down and leveled our city of Ringgold last night. Due to this storm, we at Doubleclickittofixit.com have became a casuality of this storm also. We are being told at this time that efforts are underway to restore our city of Ringgold back to a functioning state, but this may take three to five weeks. No one is being let into the city, and those that are currently are within the city limits are asked once they leave not to return until the timetable is ended.

How does this affect you as a client?

If you have sent in a system, we are not able to give any status updates. Due to the pictures we are going to post, we can naturally assume your systems are not doing well. They are not water damaged, but probably missing completely. Currently our cellphone service is also sporatic in nature along with email and online support so please keep this in mind when calling and leaving messages or writing emails.

Below are a few of the pictures from our shop as of this morning:

Can your local laptop or computer shop fix that?

April 13, 2011 by DoubleClickItToFixIt.com

As a computer repair shop we see a number of damaged computer-related electronics pass through our door daily, but we also see a number of strictly electronic items from time to time. For example we had a gentleman in our local town bring us a solar panel that had a damaged crystal oscillator, if you need an explanation this will help here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crystal_oscillator, that we tested, changed, and repaired his unit.

To the point, we are not just an average break fix computer company. We are not just a degree holding computer repair facility. We are not just a reflow and reballing facility. We are an electronics company.

We fix TVs. We fix amplifiers. We fix stereos. We fix laptops. We fix desktops. We fix TCUs. We fix printers. We fix battery chargers. We fix about anything that can be soldered or tested with a scope, multimeter, or continuity tester.

We use only Hakko-branded equipment for our fine pitch soldering. We have all Fluke-branded electrical test equipment.

Below is an example of a system that was sent to a Florida-based repair facility off of eBay who could not fix the unit. Their solution was to replace the motherboard. For all their soldering knowledge, testing equipment, and time they only could suggest a motherboard replacement.

In the picture above the mosFET, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mosfet, was damaged due to a short overloading one of the gates. This simple solder work can only be performed by hand, with the right equipment, and with the correct knowledge.

After the pick and place parts repair was performed we had a fully working and functional machine for our client in less than 24 hours.

Now can your computer shop do this for you? If not, then we are willing to offer you a deal to try our service out in the state of Georgia.

A Toolbar typically has a search function and provides search results for paid advertisers. It often has buttons that are links to advertisers’ web pages.
