David,
This email will serve as an update on the status and repair of your systems sent in.
Currently I have listed the following machines sent in for repair by you:
DV9925NR with the serialization of CNF83503NB
Now, with the HP DV9925NR with the serialization of CNF83503NB has been reflowed. The system is labeled HP Spare 459567-001. The system required a reflow on the Nvidia GeForce MCP67MV-A2 chipset.
A power adapter was found within the box with this system.
As requested on the phone, your BIOS chip was removed and reflashed. The system still displayed a no boot situation.
Memory was tested and tested working. The system still displayed a no boot situation
The processor tested damaged. The processor is labeled TL-60. This damaged part kept the system from booting properly post reflow rework and will need to be removed, replaced, or exchanged to achieve a properly booting system.
You also need to update the video drivers from Nvidia.com, ATI.com, and the BIOS from HP if one is to be applied. Please advise your end user to purchase a cooling pad to help insure the removal of heat from the system.
