How to setup a Sprint Samsung Galaxy S3 to use MMS with PagePlus or Cricket

This guide is to help all of those out there who have looked high and low for a guide on how to setup their phone to receive picture messages. Now I just bought a Sprint Samsung Galaxy S3 myself, flashed it over to PagePlus, and configured it to have a full flash. A full flash for some of those out there is a flash that allows for talk, text, and web or Internet access. You must have a full flash for picture messaging to work as it uses the data side (3G Internet) and the text side to work to send a MMS message. Seeing as we have that out of the way these steps with work to program your phone to work with PagePlus, Cricket, and MetroPCS as all that changes happens to be the servers you access and on which network.

Step One:

The first thing we must do is access your SPC code. This is is important as Sprint phones have a network lock on their phones which is accessed by the SPC code.

We have a tool to access our SPC code locally. That tool can be downloaded here.

After you install one of the two included APK files to get your SPC you will then need to move to the next step which is accessing your MMSC configuration.

Step Two:

Now that we have our SPC code for our LG G2 we will need to access the program data portion of our phone.

To access the MMSC server programming we will need to type in the following code: ##DATA# or ##3282#.

This will bring up and menu of settings were we need to locate the one labeled Edit.

Click the option to Edit which will ask us for the SPC code of our phone to edit.

This will bring up and menu of settings were we need to locate the one labeled MMSC.

After that we will be in the phone to access the MMSC server and settings to program it to work with our respective prepaid companies.

The settings are as follows for each prepaid company to program your phone for native text and MMS through the preinstalled stock app.

MMSC Proxy: Leave alone
MMSC Proxy Port: Leave alone

Cricket:

MMSC Url: http://mms.mycricket.com/mms/servlets
