This email will serve as an update on the status and repair of your systems sent in.

Currently I have listed the following machines sent in for repair by you:

HP DV2000 with the serialization of 2CE6520KQX

As agreed your motherboards are billed at $75.00 per system.

Now, with the HP DV2000 with the serialization of 2CE6520KQX has been repaired and is ready for return. The system requires a power supply to finalize the repair.

Your power supply is dropping the voltage due to an internal failure within the power adapter. The internal components appeared undamaged in the power harness area. When using my shop adapter which is a HP OEM adapter for the DV9000/DV6000 system the battery charged, and the system powered on straight DC power without the battery attached.

You also need to update the video drivers from Nvidia.com and the BIOS from HP if one is to be applied. Please advise your end user to purchase a cooling pad to help insure the removal of heat from the system.

When purchasing a replacement adapter, I highly recommend HP OEM adapters even though the adapters can be priced higher that non-HP adapters.
